Dear APS Colleague:

As Governor Mike DeWine has now moved any possible reopening date for our schools to Monday, May 3, there is a possibility that our schools may not reopen this school year.

In any eventuality, we are prepared to continue our students' education with APS Connected Learning, our online curriculum, for as long as necessary.   We will continue to feed children, as well, so we can continue to provide nearly as much for our students while they are working from home as we do when they are in our classrooms.

Families and students have teacher contact information for any questions our teachers need to address; we have encouraged students, parents and guardians to let us know if they are in need of any assistance in adjusting to APS Connected Learning.

While most of you are working from home, we have let families know we are available to assist by phone or email and that our website,,has the latest information they may need.

We know this is challenging for everyone, and it is a big change for our students and families.  Akron Public Schools greatly appreciates your dedication to this endeavor and to our students' education always.
